What's Your Truth?

Dec 06, 2017

Welcome back to this week. I want to thank everybody for all the complements and comments that I've been receiving on previous posts, and I have a request for everybody up front. If you're enjoying what I'm doing, then please share it. I want to grow this list with the ultimate goal to share it with the world. So, share it with everybody you know that you think would resonate with what I'm saying. We're going to talk about resonance further on in this post because before I go any further, we need to check in on What's Your Truth?

I just got back from a three day conference that was awesome, put on by my coach Michelle Humphrey, and there were some really challenging ideas that were being presented.  Some of the people in the audience struggled with some of those ideas. There was one woman sitting next to me on Wednesday that could hardly sit still in her seat, and she promptly got up and left at lunchtime because it wasn't resonating with her. And that's okay.

What's your truth?

I want you to check in with your truth as I go through this. I want to say that before we go any further on posts, you may find some things that I present that are going to challenge your beliefs. I said this week we were going to talk about vision, goals and stuff like that, but I figured before we go any further, I want to be really, really, really transparent and say, "I'm going to challenge you."

I also want to say that, "All truth passes through three stages. First, it's ridicule. Second, it's violently opposed. And third, it's accepted as being self-evident." That is a quote from Arthur Schopenhauer who lived a couple hundred years ago, but this quote, to me, resonates as true. So, just remember this quote as I press forward into this blog when you feel something that I'm saying or presenting that maybe doesn't resonate with you.

How solid are you?

For example, everybody thinks that the physical world is solid. However, this blog post from  www.sciencealert.com does a really great job of explaining that actually 0.0000001% of everything you see, touch and feel is physical. The rest is empty space. It's not really empty space. It's full of energy because energy is what holds it all together. That's not a lot of real physicalness in this world that looks really solid to all of us.

What should truth feel like?

So, what should truth feel like? Well, if you've seen tuning forks in action, that's what I think truth should feel like; i.e. when an idea is put out there, it resonates with you. In the tuning fork example, when you hit one tuning fork, if you have another tuning fork of the same frequency, it will vibrate because it's sympathetic to the first tuning fork. So, the sound wave from one resonates the other one. If they aren't the same, it will not resonate. Watch the Youtube below for a demonstration - cool stuff!

There will be some things that are said and ideas that are shared that may hit you as an energetic resonance or non-resonance. Remember we said mostly you're made out of energy and not much physicality. So, these ideas will resonate with you or they won't resonate with you energetically. And that's okay because some things that may not resonate with you now, may resonate with you down the road as you grow and evolve in your understandings. So, I would encourage you to stick with what I'm going to say, even if something doesn't quite resonate with you at first.

What do others say about truth?

And let's do a couple more quotes on truth. From Jesus, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." From John 8:32. So, stick with some of this stuff. There's going to be a lot of stuff I'm putting out there and hopefully it will set you free at some level.

Secondly, Saint Augustine said, "The truth is like a lion; You don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself." And that's what I'm going to do in this blog is I'm going to be putting a lot of truth out there, a lot of ideas out there, which I believe are true and I believe they will defend themselves.

Finally, from my favorite musical artist of all time, if you're struggling, Sting said, "Let your soul be your pilot." So, if something isn't resonating with you, just let your soul be your pilot, and lead you to your truth. Below I have put a link to YouTube of Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot, and I would LOVE IT if you took the time to listen to that song. It's one of my favorite songs, and now I am claiming it as my theme song. So, let your truth and let your soul be your pilot. And again, if you're liking what you're hearing, share it with others. Let's spread the word. Talk to you next week.
