Let's Get It Started!

Welcome to the first post of my new blog, Powerful Beyond Measure. I want to thank you for being a part of the initial launch, and assuming you enjoy it, please pass it on to others.

What is the purpose of the blog?

The purpose of this blog is to share things that I've learned over the past 50 years regarding personal and business strategies for success. I learned a while ago that I have a gift to take very complex things, break them down into their key components, and then teach those points to others. That's what I want to do here. I want to take complex topics, break them down, and give you the key points you can take away and use in your everyday life.

If you have a topic that you'd be interested in, put it in the comments below and let me know, and we'll explore that. I do have some ideas of things that I want to share with you right off that bat. Given that 2018 is right upon us, the next couple of posts are going to be about goal setting and creating a vision for your life. My hope for you is that my insights on these topics will help you have a better 2018 and beyond.

What is behind the name of the blog?

Powerful Beyond Measure comes from one of my favorite quotes of all time. It's from Marianne Williamson's book Return to Love. It goes like this: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

That is one of the most powerful quotes that has guided me for many, many years. Breaking it down, if we really look in the mirror, and we get past our fears, we can dig into our power, and then share that with the world.  That's what I want to do here. I want to impart to you some of things that I've learned so that you can get past your fears and be powerful beyond measure, as well.

Moving Forward

It took me a little longer than expected to get everything setup to get this first post up, but moving forward you can expect a post a week - short or long. Of course, as time passes, this site will evolve to provide more than just a blog. In addition, I'm sure the site will undergo some "facelifting" as well.
