A New Model for Creating Your Powerful Life!

Nov 29, 2017

Okay, welcome back from Thanksgiving, and I hope everybody enjoyed themselves. I want to thank everybody for the blog topic ideas that you've provided to me, and we'll be getting into some of those in future posts. This week, I want to talk about a model for creating a powerful life that I've developed. We're going to spend a lot of future blog posts on this model as we dig into each part. For this post, I recommend you watch the video instead of reading about it here.

First, the subtitle of the Manifesting Model is Becoming the Best Version of Yourself. I know that might seem a little cliché, but it's true. This is what we want to focus on, becoming the best version of ourselves in this lifetime.

We all have probably seen models for going from where we are to where we want to be. When I was in the consulting world, we used to talk about the now or "as is" state, then the vision or this place you want to go to, and finally a path to get there. These old models I call force-based models. Why are they force based? Because you have to build a plan and then, you have to get busy doing, doing, doing to move from where you are to where you want to be and there's a lot of effort involved.

I want to lay out a new model for you, and the new model is a power-based model. Remember, this blog is about being Powerful Beyond Measure. So, how do we tap into power as opposed to force? We'll be talking more about power versus force in detail in future posts, but for now, how do we tap into our power to create the life that we want? There are seven components.

The first component I actually talked to you about last week and that was being grateful for what you have and Building a Gratitude Foundation. Why is it important that you base everything you do on a gratitude foundation? Because if you're thankful everyday for what you have, you're going to feel better and you can operate from that place of feeling great and being thankful for what you have instead of complaining all the time. So, build a gratitude foundation. That is component number one.

Component number two is Acknowledge Source. What do I mean by source? By source I mean your higher power. 12-step programs around the world all refer to acknowledging that you're powerless and that you acknowledge a higher power that can heal you. That's what we're talking about here, and why do I use the term source? Because I know we have a lot of different people in the audience and you may call it God or Yahweh or Allah or Krishna or the force. Whatever it is for you, acknowledge that there's a higher power. That's important because if you're not tapping into your higher power source and it's all about you, it's going to be very effortful, very painful, a lot of work. I want to show you a different way to get there. So, acknowledging source is component number two, and we'll refer back to that quite a bit in the future.

There are five more components and four of them, you see in the model as red, orange, green, and blue, These components are all about tapping into that higher power in different ways to help you get from where you are to where you want to be. Then the last component is the black box, and there are some secrets in the black box. Everybody's got to have a black box in a model, right?

So, there you go, those are the seven components. So, Build a Gratitude Foundation, Acknowledge your Source / your higher power, and then, we'll dig into these other five components in the coming weeks.

Before the next blog post, I have an assignment for you. I'm requesting that you to start taking notes on what is your vision and what do you want to be, do, have and feel in your lifetime. I'll give you a hint if you haven't guessed already. The next blog post is going to be about vision and diving in on goals, and that's going to set us up for 2018 to be our best year ever. Thanks, and we'll talk to you soon.
